I’ve been struggling with finding what it is, or rather, where am I as an artist. I’ve gone through various subject matter trying to please the market, but not being true to myself. I started finding myself just before “stage isolation”, in my ladies paintings. They all have a connection to an emotion. And I think that’s where I started being true to myself. Isolation has just emphasised it even more. Although the style is different and I’ve reverted back to the trusty paint brush and detail work, I’m really enjoying it. I feel I can now move between using the Palette knife and paint brush, but express my emotions through both subject matters. I think I’ve found my „mojo”.
